The tip of the oxygen propane flame heating a sheet of steel,
creating shades looking like weather blown across the horizon from the west.
Colours appearing on the jagged edge of sawn metal,
reminding of the ever changing appearance
of valleys and peaks.
Sometimes the sky dominating,
leaving massive mountains as only shapes
growing out of the ground.
Then the depth and heights of dark and bright
in rocks and ravines,
turning sky and lake into mere support acts.
